Service Configurations

Managing the Service Configuration Settings

Introduction

The Service Configuration is a comprehensive tool that empowers the Service Manager to establish a variety of parameters and defaults, which are crucial for the effective structuring and optimization of the Service Department.

Below, you will find a detailed explanation of each setting, along with guidance on how you can customize these settings to align perfectly with the unique requirements of your department, ensuring that every aspect of the service process is optimized for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Best Practices:

  • Establishing months and mileage for the next service date helps the customer know when their service is due.
  • If a single Advisor manages your department, choose a default Advisor to streamline scheduling.
  • Decide if a Service Advisor is necessary when booking appointments to best suit your department's requirements.

Navigate to:  Service >Maintenance > Service Configurations

At the top of the page, you'll find options available for you to choose from, each designed to cater to different aspects of the service configuration process. By clicking on each tab, you can explore a range of settings that enable you to personalize and tailor your configurations to meet the specific needs and preferences of your department.
