Printing within the Repair Order

Print Work Order, Invoice, Internal RO, Warranty, Financial, RO History, Oil Change Label, & Printer Setup.

Introduction

Comprehensive guidelines for printing in the Repair Order System - this includes instructions for printing essential documents like the Work Order, Customer Invoice, Internal RO, Warranty, Financial, RO History, Oil Change Label, and Printer Configuration, allowing you to easily customize print options.

Best Practices:

  • Configuring dedicated printers for oil change labels, invoices, and work orders can save time and improve organization.
  • Keep in mind that these settings are specific to each user, so if you switch to another person's computer, the print setup might differ.
  • Consult with your Service Manager about automating oil change label information in Service Configurations to save time.

 

Navigate to:  Service > Advisor > Repair Orders

Inside the Primary Grid:

  1. Filter/Sort the primary grid to locate the Repair Order. 
  2. Open the Repair Order by clicking on the corresponding line.

Within the Repair Order screen:

  1. Hover over the Print icon in the Action Ribbon

  2. Select a print option from the drop-down.

Print Options Available

Work Order - The request for maintenance, repairs, and operational tasks.

Invoice - Customer receipt after payment is taken.

Internal - Dealership copy of the RO. 

Warranty - Detail of warranty repair information.

Financial - Itemized financial breakdown of RO.

History - Summary - Summarized history of all vehicle repairs within the service department.

History - Detail - Detailed history of all vehicle repairs within the service department including causes and corrections.

Oil Change Label - User editable label provided to customer to determine when next service is due.

Tip:
If you prefer not to manually edit each label, refer to the Service Configurations article for guidance on setting default oil change parameters.

Printer Setup - Add specific printers for labels, work orders, RO's etc. Click each blue hyperlink to add a printer or attachment.
