Terminate an Employee (Payroll and Accounting)

VUE is a permissions-driven system that tailors security access to suit each users needs.  Access to each menu item is managed by an Administrator at your dealership.  See the Help article on Roles and Permission to learn how.

See the Permissions Reference Guide to understand what permissions to assign.

 

Accounting > Maintenance > Employees

Filter/Sort and select an employee from the Primary Grid.

Within the Employees screen:

  1. Use the dropdown to change the Status field from Active to Inactive.

  • Inactive Employees will have no access to VUE.

2. Click the [Save] button in the Action Ribbon.

AND

Payroll > Maintenance > Employee Information

Filter/Sort and select an employee from the Primary Grid.

Within the Employee Information screen:

3. On the Basic tab Input a Termination Date.

  • Payroll checks may not be cut to payroll employees after the Termination Date.

4. Click the [Save] button in the Action Ribbon.
