Starting and Stopping Time (Technician)

  • Time can be started and stopped from two separate areas in the Technician System.

Service > Technician > Technician System

Inside the Primary Grid:

  1. Input a log string into any of the column text fields at the top of the screen.

  2. Click on the RO# hyperlink, or the caret on the far right of the Repair Order line to view the Repair Order.

Starting Time within the Technician System RO screen

Within the Technician System RO screen:

  1. Click the [Start Time] icon to the right of the Operation to start time.

  2. Click the Regular, Diagnostic, or Straight time hyperlinks to select the Clock Time Type.

  3. Click the [Stop Time] icon to the right of the Operation to stop time.

  4. If the operation is complete, click the [Yes] button. If the operation is not complete, click the [No] button.

Starting Time within the Repair Order Operations Screen

Within the Technician System RO screen:

  1. Click the Op, Op Code, PT (Pay Type), or Concern hyperlink to open the Repair Order Operation window.

  2. Click the [Start Time] icon to the right of the Operation to start time.

  3. Click the Regular, Diagnostic, or Straight time hyperlinks to select the Clock Time Type.

  4. Click the [Stop Time] icon to the right of the Operation to stop time.

  5. If the operation is complete, click the [Yes] button. If the operation is not complete, click the [No] button.

  6. Click the [Cancel] button to close the Repair Order Operations window.
