Starting an RO (Technician System)

Access the Technician System to view your open and active Repair Orders, on assigned Operations

The Technician System acts as a central hub for technicians to efficiently receive and manage their Repair Orders through a user-friendly interface  By leveraging this centralized platform, technicians can enhance their workflow, minimize downtime, and provide faster, more precise service to customers. Discover how to access the Technician System and start working on your Repair Orders efficiently.

Best Practices:

  • Use the chat feature in the action ribbon for real-time communication with the Service Advisor, Parts Department, or team members, without leaving your workspace 
  • You can order parts either from the action ribbon or directly within the operation.
  • To avoid confusion, it's advised to place your orders within the operation after you have started the timer.

 

 

Navigate to: Service > Technician> Technician System

Upon entering the Technician System, all your Active Repair Orders will be displayed.

 Accessing the RO 

  1. Click on the RO# hyperlink on the left Screenshot 2025-01-21 154709 or the [arrow] on the right Screenshot 2025-01-21 154719 of the Repair Order line.
  2. Select the Op, Op Code, Payment Type (PT), or Concern hyperlink to view operation details

Note:
Once you are in the operation, you can input the cause of the issue, the correction made, and any additional tech notes in the designated fields.

Start/Stop Time

  1. Select the Screenshot 2024-12-27 091643  icon to [Start] and [Stop] time 
  2. After starting the timer, click  Screenshot 2025-01-21 160713icon to request parts for the operation
Tip:
If you need to pause an operation at any time, simply click on [Stop Time] and select a reason for the hold from the dropdown menu.

With a comprehensive overview of Repair Orders, technicians can efficiently manage their workload by prioritizing tasks, quickly identifying urgent repairs, and ordering necessary parts directly from the interface. This streamlined process boosts productivity and enhances customer satisfaction, fostering trust and loyalty.
