Setting the Reserve Calculation (Lender)

VUE is a permissions-driven system that tailors security access to suit each users needs.  Access to each menu item is managed by an Administrator at your dealership.  See the Help article on  Roles and Permission to learn how.

Navigate to Sales > Maintenance > Sales > Lenders

Inside the Primary Grid:

  1. Filter/Sort the primary grid to locate the Lending Company.

  2. Select a Lender by clicking on the corresponding line.

Within the Lenders screen:

  1. Click the Reserve dropdown for Sale.

  2. Refer to the Code Calculation list below and select the appropriate reserve code from the dropdown.

  3. Input the lender's percentage split in the field next to the Reserve code. (Example 25.00000 = 25% of the Reserve goes to the Lender).

  4. If applicable, Click the Reserve dropdown for Lease.

  5. Refer to the Code Calculation list below and select the appropriate reserve code from the dropdown.

  6. Click the [Save] button in the Action Ribbon.

    • If Sell Rate minus Buy Rate = 0.00 to 1.00, Bank Percentage = 0 and Dealer percentage = 100%

    • If Sell Rate minus Buy Rate = 1.01 to 2.00, Bank Percentage = 20% and Dealer Percentage = 80%

    • If Sell Rate minus Buy Rate = 2.01 and up, Bank Percentage = 30% and Dealer Percentage = 70%

K Lease calc: Adjusted (net) cap cost + residual (base residual without any adjustments) * rate difference * term
L For Nissan Leases: (Sell Rate – Buy Rate) × (Residual + Net Cap Cost) × Term × Reserve Percentage.
V Rate difference / rate * lease rent (This is an APR lease formula for Ally)
W [(Adjusted Cap Cost + Residual) × Dealer Participation Factor × Term] × Dealer Reserve Percentage
