View and Print PDF files directly from your Browser

WebClient Print v6 lets you preview PDF files in VUE and print them directly from your browser—no downloads needed. Just follow these simple steps to get set up and start printing!

Best Practices:

  1. Make sure your printer is turned on and connected
  2. Clear your Cache
  3. VUE recommends Chrome as the browser and Adobe Reader for PDF viewing.
    1. Chrome does not have to be the default browser; however, Adobe must be the default PDF viewer.

Install WebClientPrint v6.0

  1. Navigate to your Printer Setup. For example, in Repair Order, hover over Print, then choose Printer Setup:
  2. Click on your printer link, in this example below, it’s Adobe PDF:

  3. You’ll see an error message: “Error Detecting WebClientPrint. Please try again!” This is fine, click the X on the Error message.

  4. Click the WebClientPrint Processor (WCPP) from Neodynamic

  5. The link takes you to this URL: https://www.neodynamic.com/downloads/wcpp/?v=6

  6. Click the button that says [Download] under WCPP for Windows >  EXE Installer

  7. Scroll to the top of your web page, open the download from your browser history, and select the .exe file

  8. The setup window for WebClientPrint Processor 6.0 displays. Click the [Install] button.

  9.  Follow the instructions to complete the
    installation.

The WebClientPrint tool facilitates PDF preview and printing in all modules.


WebClientPrint Browser Extension

  1. Open your web application using WebClientPrint.

  2. If prompted, install the browser extension for Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
  3. Grant necessary permissions if requested by the browser.
  4. Follow the steps in the installation window.
  5. Click [Next] when asked.
  6. Accept the License Agreement.
  7. Click Install, then Finish when it’s done.

Test Your Printer

  1. After installing, go back to the same website.
  2. Scroll down to the section called Test WebClientPrint.
  3. Choose your printer from the list.
  4. Click the [Print] button to try it out.

Calibration & Media Setup

Media Types:

  1. Direct Thermal (no ribbon)
  2. Thermal Transfer (uses ribbon)

Calibration:

  1. Load labels and (if needed) ribbon
  2. Press and hold the Feed button until it flashes once, then release
  3. Printer will feed and calibrate media size
  4. To verify: Print config label again

Change Media Settings:

Use Zebra Setup Utilities > Configure Printer Settings

  1. Media Type: Gap/Mark
  2. Print Mode: Direct Thermal or Thermal Transfer
  3. Label Size (width/height)

Printing in Sales

In Sales, the Impact forms printer (Okidata ML 321) can be set. This is a per user setup and uses the printer installed on the local PC.

  1. Go to Sales > F&I > Deals.
  2. Select and display any deal.
  3. Select the Forms option.
  4. Below the Impact Forms area, click the “No printer selected!” link.
  5. Choose the Impact forms printer.
  6. Click [Close].

Note: If you are changing the printer, instead of seeing “No printer selected!” the name of the printer that was previously selected will be displayed.

 

Printing in Accounting and Payroll

The “check printer” is a global printer so all users who print checks will have to have a printer named the same installed on their PCs. Please note that WebClientPrint is case sensitive so, for example, checks and Checks is not the same. Once the printer is installed on the PC:

  1. Go to Accounting > Maintenance > Bank and Checking Maintenance
  2. Select the bank and bank account
  3. Click [Edit], or double click the account.
  4. Click the Print Queue [Change] button.
  5. Select the Check printer
  6. Click [OK].
  7. Click [OK].
  8. Click [Save].

Printing in Service

In Service, there are three printers that can be set: Work Order, Oil Change Label, Repair Order (Invoice), and the Repair Order (Internal). Unlike the check printer which is a global printer, service printing is a per user setup per workstation using the printers installed on the local PCs. Force the printer tray as needed in the driver.

  1. Go to Service > Advisor > Repair Orders,
  2. Select and display any repair order.
  3. Select the Print option drop down and choose Printer Setup
  4. Select the desired printers. It is possible to add multiple printers to print copies of each simultaneously.
  5. Click [Save].
Service Packet Printing

Additional Printer(s) can be set up to automatically, which would add those items as an attachment to the RO and be prompted to print those additional items.  

Those items are:

  1. Financial
  2. Initial Authorization
  3. Internal
  4. Invoice
  5. Maintenance Menu Accepted
  6. Maintenance Menu Offered
  7. Multi-Point Inspection
  8. RO Quote
  9. Supplemental Authorization
  10. Vehicle Inspection
  11. Work Order
Service Packet Printing Upon Printing Work Orders, Repair Order Invoice, or Repair Order Internal

The printer setup:

  1. In the RO, hover over [Print] and select Invoice.
  2. A Printing pop-up appears.
  3. The choices are
    1. Edit the printer by clicking the printer link
    2. Adjust the number of copies
    3. Exclude document(s) from printing by clicking the “X” to the right of the number of copies
    4. [Print]
    5. [Cancel] or “X” in the upper right-hand corner

Service Packet Printing Upon Closing Repair Order
  1. In Accounting > Maintenance > Default Settings, set Print Prompt At Close to Always.



  2. In an RO,  Print > Printer Setup.
  3. You can set up Packet Printing on Work Orders, Repair Order Invoices, or Repair Order Internal copies.
  4. The general steps are Add Printer for the Report, Add Attachment (the report you want to include in packet printing), then tell the form where to print by adding a printer, and lastly hit [Save].

  5. In the Repair Order, after cashiering, click > Close > Close


Printing in Parts

In Parts, there are two printers that can be set:

  • Parts Invoice 
  • Parts Internal.

Like service printing, parts printing is a per-user setup that utilizes the printers installed on local PCs. Force the printer tray as needed in the driver.

  1. Go to Parts > Counter > Parts Invoices.
  2. Select and display any invoice.
  3. Select the Print option drop down and choose Printer Setup.
  4. Select the desired printers. It is possible to add multiple printers to print copies of each simultaneously.
  5. Click [Save].

  • Try closing and reopening your browser.
  • Ask your IT support if you’re still stuck.
