An effective method for the Service Department to access operations is by using the popular operation code feature. For operations not included in the popular op-codes list, the search functionality available in both the appointment and repair order screens provides a straightforward way to add a wide range of other essential operations that may not be frequently used.
Op Codes in the Repair Order:
Navigate to: Service >Advisor>Repair Order
In the Repair Order Screen:
- If the
feature does not have the Op Code you are looking for listed, click [Detail Add] at the bottom of the repair order screen > this will take you to a new operation screen
- Once you are in the new operation screen, select the magnifying glass to the right of the operation code field. You will see an Op Code Model Search populate.
- Search by the Op Code, Description, and Complaint to easily find the code you are looking for
Tip: Don't have an Op Code for the particular service requested? Not quite sure what service the customer needs? Select [Quick Add] to the RO or Appointment and enter concerns in customer concern field.
Op Codes in Appointments
Navigate to: Service > Advisor > Appointments
- When scheduling the Appointment select [Quick Add]
- You can choose a Popular Op code in the list provided. If the Op code you are looking for is not listed; double click inside the Op Code field
- The Op Code Browse will populate on your screen. You can search by the Op Code, Description, or Complaint to easily find the code you are looking for

These tools enable Service Advisors to quickly and accurately locate the specific codes they require, ensuring that all essential operations are readily accessible and significantly improving overall workflow efficiency.
