Utilizing Schedule Summary & Account Summary Reports

An Overview of Setting Up, Running, and Exporting Detailed Transaction Reports in VUE

You can run either the Schedule Summary Report or the Schedule Account Summary Report to obtain detailed transaction information related to Accounting Schedules for a specific time frame. The Schedule Summary Report itemizes transactions on the selected Schedule and includes hyperlinks to view detailed Schedule transactions and General Ledger entries, providing an overview of financial activity. In contrast, the Schedule Account Summary Report focuses on individual account transactions for the selected Schedule but does not include hyperlinks, offering a granular view of financial activities. By choosing the appropriate report, you can analyze and review transaction details effectively, ensuring accurate financial tracking and management.

Running the Schedule Summary & Schedule Account Summary Reports

Report Parameter Panel Options

Navigate to Accounting > Reports > Schedule Reports and select either Schedule Summary or Schedule Account Summary.

 

In the Report Parameters panel:

  • Select the desired Company/Companies (if applicable).
  • Select the Schedule that you want the report to run from Schedule List.
  • Input specific General Ledger Account Number(s) and/or Control Number(s) if desired.
  • Select Yes for Include Aging for the reports to generate tables with Count by Age and Amount by Age breakdowns.  
    • Note:  Leaving Include Aging as No will not provide the Age breakdown tables.
  • Select the desired month period for which you would like the report to run.
  • Click Run Report.
Note: As with any report, once desired facets are selected and this will be how you always want the report to run, click Set as Default.

Report Details: Schedule Summary

Schedule Summary itemizes transactions on the Schedule.

The Control Number is a hyperlink to the Schedule transaction.

The transaction amount is listed in columns to the right under the General Ledger account to which it is credited.  

Clicking on the header hyperlink opens the General Ledger entry.

If Include Aging was selected as Yes in the Report Parameters panel, to the bottom of the report will be a table with Count by Age and Amount by Age.

Reports can be exported into Excel or PDF via the floppy disc icon     or shared internally with other users via the Share icon. 

Report Details: Schedule Account Summary

Schedule Account Summary itemizes each transaction per Account for the Schedule that was selected.  

Note: This report provides no hyperlinks to view Ledger or Schedule specifics.

If Include Aging was selected as Yes in the Report Parameters panel, at the end of each Account itemization listing will be a table with Count by Age and Amount.

The preferred way of viewing this report data is to export the report to Excel.

The corresponding Excel sheet paginates the report into tabs per Account.  

If Include Aging was selected as Yes in the Report Parameters panel, at the bottom of each tab be a table with Count by Age and Amount.

Options to select for this report will be based on your dealership Schedules and corresponding General Ledger Accounts.  

Navigate to Accounting > Maintenance > Schedule Maintenance to review and edit schedules in your account.
