Releasing a Repair Order

A Repair Order must be Released before the Technician can begin work, and/or the Parts Department can bill out parts.
Inside the Primary Grid:

Filter/Sort the primary grid to locate the Repair Order.

Select the Repair Order by clicking on the corresponding line.
Within the Repair Order screen:

Select the [Release] button below the Operation lines.

Once selected, the Release button will change to “Released”, and the button will be outlined in green.

Depending upon select Default Settings, more actions may occur when the [Release] button is selected. If “Attach WO on Release” is set to Yes, the Work Order will save as an attachment to the RO. If “Release Button Actions” is set to Print Work Order, the Work Order will print upon Release. If “Release Button Actions” is set to Open RO Authorization, the Customer Authorization will automatically open and the customer signature can be captured.
