Creating a Product (Sales)

VUE is a permissions-driven system that tailors security access to suit each users needs.  Access to each menu item is managed by an Administrator at your dealership.  See the Help article on  Roles and Permission to learn how.

• Any Product created needs to match the Accounting Deal Posting Template. For this reason, the Products that come pre-loaded within the system are set-up so they can be edited within the Deal itself. This gives the ability to make adjustments to the Product as needed.

Sales > Maintenance > Sales > Products

Inside the Primary Grid:

1. Click the [New] button in the Action Ribbon.

2. Input the Product Code in the field.

3. Click the [Create] button.

4. Click the Description field and input the Product description.

5. Click the [User Override]

   1. Select Yes to allow editing within the deal or select NO to prevent editing in the deal.

6. Click the [Save] button in the Action Ribbon.

• To create an Aftermarket, a Price and Cost must be defined.
