Creating a Part Number Supersession

Parts > Counter > Parts Inventory

Inside the Primary Grid:

1. Filter/Sort and select the part number to be superseded.

Within the Part Record:

2. In the Action Ribbon, hover over the [Supersessions] dropdown, and select New.

3. Input the new part number in the New Number field, or click the magnifying glass to search.

4. Input a reason in the Reason field, although this is not a required field.

5. Mark the checkbox to Use Old Part Bins or Keep New Part Bins.

6. Select either the [Immediate] or [Delay] button.

7. Click [Save] in the Action Ribbon.
