Creating a Customer

Sales > Miscellaneous > Customers
or
Accounting > Accounts Receivable > Customers
or
Parts > Miscellaneous > Customers
Within the Customers Screen:
1. Select [New] from the Action Ribbon to open the Add New Customer window.
2. Type in the name as “Last Name, First Name” and then press the [Tab] or [Enter] key on the keyboard.
-or- Type in the name as “Last Name, First Name” and then click the magnifying glass to search.
3. Because there should not be a preexisting record, click on the “X” to escape the Customer Search grid.
∟ The Customer Search grid prevents users from creating duplicate Customer records.
4. Select the [Create] button.
5. Input the Customer Number, if applicable.
∟ Select the [Create] button in the New Customer window.
6. Input any additional customer information as needed.
7. Select the [Save] button in the Action Ribbon.
