Avoid Duplicating Customers

The 'Similar Existing Customers' window will open when creating or adding a customer to the following screens if there is an existing customer record that has a matching Email, Phone Number, or Address.

  • Repair Orders

  • Appointments

  • Service Estimates

  • Parts Desk

  • Back Counter

  • Special Orders

  • Manual Checks

  • Purchase Orders

  • Accounts Payable

Within the Similar Existing Customers window:

  1. Review the grid of customers with the matching record(s).

  2. The Match Fields column indicates out of the three fields possible, the number of fields that match.

  3. Links are provided to review the existing records.

  4. Click on the existing customer line to select it and click the [Use Existing Customer] button.

    or

4. Click on the [Proceed with New Customer] button.
