Assigning Positions

VUE is a permissions-driven system that tailors security access to suit each users needs.  Access to each menu item is managed by an Administrator at your dealership.  See the Help article on Roles and Permission to learn how.

See the Permissions Reference Guide to understand what permissions to assign.

 

Accounting > Maintenance > Employees

Inside the Primary Grid:

1. Filter/Sort the primary grid to locate the employee record.

2. Select the employee by clicking on the corresponding line.

Within the Employee Record:

3. Within the Positions tab, select an Available Position from the list by clicking on the corresponding position.

4. Click the caret (>) to move the corresponding position to the Selected Positions list.

5. Repeat steps 3-4 to add any additional positions for the employee.

6. Click the [Save] button in the Action Ribbon.

· If any of the three Technician positions were selected, a new tab will appear, named Tech, and the Default Hourly Rate field will appear on the Employee tab.

· If Salesperson, Sales Manager, and/or F&I Manager were selected, the Commission Schedules dropdowns will appear on the Employee tab.

 

*** Has your employee changed positions? Do they need training on their new role?  Email training@drivedominion.com to request their role be updated in Dominion Dealer University and help access courses for their new position.
