Assigning a Department in the General Ledger

Accounting > General Ledger > General Ledger
Inside the Primary Grid:
1. Filter/Sort the primary grid to locate the general ledger account and select the account by clicking on the corresponding line.
-or-
Input an account number in the Go To Account field and press the [Tab] or [Enter] key on the keyboard.
Within the General Ledger Account Screen:
1. Click the [Departments] button in the Action Ribbon.
2. Click the [Add] button in the Departments window.
3. Click the “Please Choose:” field to enable the Department dropdown.
4. Select a department.
5. Click the [OK] button to exit the Departments window.
6. Select the [Save] button in the Action Ribbon.
