Part Bin Locations - Assign or Remove

How to Manage Your Part Bin Locations 

Assign parts to specific Bin Locations to ensure organized storage and easy access, as well as removing parts from these Bin Locations when they are no longer needed or when inventory adjustments are required. This article is beneficial for anyone responsible for managing parts inventory.

Assign a Bin Location 

Navigate to Parts > Counter > Parts Inventory

A part number may have more than one Bin Location assigned.

Inside the Primary Grid:

  1. Filter or sort to locate the desired part number.

  2. Select the part number to assign a Bin Location.

Within the Part Record:

  1. Click the Bin Locations hyperlink.

  2. In the Part Locations window, click [Add].

  3. Enter the Bin Location in the corresponding field.

  4. Enter the Max Quantity for that location.

    1.  A value of zero means there is no maximum, and this will not restrict the maximum order quantity during order generation.

  5. Check the box to set this as the Primary location (if applicable).

  6. Click [OK].

  7. Click [Save] in the Action Ribbon.

Make sure to click [Save] in the Action Ribbon to verify that your Bin Location is accurately updated in the system.

Delete a Bin Location

Navigate to Parts > Counter > Parts Inventory

Inside the Primary Grid:

  1. Filter or sort to locate the desired part number.

  2. Select the part number to assign a Bin Location.

Within the Part Record:

  1. Click the Bin Locations hyperlink.

  2. In the Part Locations window, click [X] to remove the location.

  3. Select [OK].

  4. Click [Save] in the Action Ribbon.
