Importing Credit Report Data Into a Credit Application
How Permissions Affect the User’s Display
Overview
The 700Credit integration enables users to submit credit requests to up to three credit bureaus — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — based on the dealers subscriptions, directly from the Credit Request modal in both VUE Sales Desk and Deal screens. Users can then access the resulting credit reports in the same location for a seamless workflow.
Initiating Credit Report Requests
The process begins with submitting a Credit Request.
-
Credit Requests can be initiated from Sales > F&I>Sales Desk or Sales>F&I>Deals.
- Note: Credit Requests can also be started in Prospect records via Sales > F&I > Prospects > More and Credit Requests. From this screen, you can start and save a Credit Request. However, to submit the request, a desk must first be initiated within the prospect.
- Filter/Sort the primary grid to locate the Sales Desk or Deal.
- Click to select the corresponding line for the Sales Desk or Deal.
- Hover over the More icon in the Action Ribbon and select Credit Request from the dropdown.

- A Credit Request modal will generate.

- If there is a previous report (within the last 90 days) for the prospect, there will be a link to view it in the lower left of the modal. Click on the Last Report link to review the report information.
- Click Credit Report.
- A prompt will generate.
- If this is the first time attempting to submit a credit report on the customer, the prompt notifies that credit report information will populate from the Prospect and Deal data.

- If credit report data has been previously saved, a prompt will generate providing the option to Import from the deal and prospect record (Yes, Import) and overwrite the saved information or to use the credit report application data already saved (No, Continune Without Importing).

The Credit Report Application will generate.

Use the Go to Section area to navigate the Credit Report Application.

Required fields are marked with an asterisk.

If required fields are left blank, warnings will generate and the Submit button to the bottom of the Credit Report Application will not be available. Hovering over the Submit button will reveal the remaining required fields that need attention.

- If this is the first time attempting to submit a credit report on the customer, the prompt notifies that credit report information will populate from the Prospect and Deal data.
Note:
Data entered or changed in the Credit Report Application can be updated before submitting; however, changes will not reflect back to the Prospect, Sales Desk, Deal, Trade, or Vehicle records.
VUE Credit Report Application Details
Applicant
Applicant data pre-populates from Prospect record, where available.
Pro Tip -
The SSN and Driver’s License fields offer a Show/Hide icon. Permissioned users can toggle between Show and Hide, as well as add and edit the SSN and DL fields.
Users without permissions may not toggle it, but they can enter a new SSN or DL to change it until the [Save] button is selected.

Spouse fields will only be shown if Marital Status is selected as Married.

Address Information
The address information captured in the prospect record will populate. This data can be updated as necessary.

Use Add an Address to record a previous address if necessary.

Note: there is a limit of two entries (Current and Previous).
Employment
Employment information must be added manually.

Use Add Additional Employment to record a previous employer.
![]()
Note: there is a limit of two entries (Current and Previous). Information saved to the Credit Request will be stored only within the Credit Request.
Co-Applicant
Co-applicant data prepopulates from the co-buyer tab of the Prospect record, where available.
If there is no co-buyer, the co-applicant fields are hidden by default, with a button to add a co-applicant.

Addresses and Employment follow the same rules for both the Applicant and the Co-applicant.

The X will delete the Co-applicant entry.

Vehicle

Vehicle data pre-populates from the Vehicle record, where available.
Trade
Trade data pre-populates from the Trades tab of the Prospect record, where available
- Data here can be updated before submitting; however, any changes will not reflect in the trade vehicle record.
-
If a trade is added to the deal after the Credit Request application was first initiated and the user later returns to the application, they will need to decide whether to import data from the deal. If the user selects No, Continue Without Importing, the trade will not be imported and must be added manually.
-
If the user selects Yes, Import, all deal data will be imported into the application.

-
Important: Clicking Yes, Import may overwrite any information that was manually entered previously.
Product
Data will populate based on information in the Desk.
Note:
Calculated fields such as Amount Financed, Monthly Payment, and Use Tax will automatically update based on other values and cannot be edited directly, as these fields are system-calculated to ensure accuracy.
For a Finance Deal:

Amount Financed and Monthly Payment will update based on other values, but are not directly editable since they are calculated fields.
For a Lease Deal:

Monthly Payment will update based on other values, but is not directly editable since it is a calculated field.
Use Tax is not editable because it is a calculated field.
Submitting and Viewing Credit Reports
Once all required information is entered, the Submit button will be available.

On Submit, users are prompted to select the Credit Bureau(s) and enter any Freeze Pins.

-
Only the bureaus available to the dealership will be shown.
-
Freeze PINs must be 5-10 numeric characters (if included).
If there is a previous report (within the last 90 days), a warning will be displayed giving the user an opportunity to view the previous report before submitting a new report.

Another tab will generate to the 700Credit Credit report for the customer.

How Permissions Affect the User’s Display

- VUE employees with permission to edit Sales Desks and Deals will be able to edit the Credit Request application.
- If users do NOT have the Show SSN and DL permission, and the SSN and DL ARE populated, they will see only asterisks and will not be able to view the values.
- If users do NOT have the Show SSN and DL permission, and the SSN and DL are NOT populated, they will be able to enter a new SSN or DL which will be masked, but with a show/hide button.
- If a user saves the credit request and returns to it later, the SSN and driver’s license fields will no longer be visible. Even if the user has the “Show SSN and DL” permission, these fields will remain masked, but a Show/Hide button will be available to view or edit the values as needed.
